The fifth annual Isogaisa festival is held from the 10.th- 17.th of August. The festival takes place in the beautiful Lavangen, specifically at “Fjellkysten AS.” At Isogaisa, there will be courses, seminars, a trade fair, art shows, music, dance, ceremonies and a lot of fun.

The gorgeous area above the festival main site is well suited for camping.

Festival passes
If you have a festival pass, you will be able to put up a tent or a lavvu (like a Sami tipi) at the area above “Fjellkysten AS.” This pass will also allow you access to all joint events, and some of the courses that are held during the festival. You will get information about which courses that cost extra money to attend to in the festival program. Toilets and water are available at the Isogaisa area, and at low price you can take a shower at “Fjellkysten AS.”

A festival under roof

The whole Isogaisa festival is held under a roof. We will put up a roof with eight corners (an octagon) and connect this together with four big lavvus. That almost 400 square meters, and in addition we will put up extra lavvus for special courses and ceremonies. The Isogaisa crew still recommends you to bring suited clothes and your own sleeping pad.

Drug- free
Isogaisa is a drug- free festival. That means that “Fjellkysten AS” closes their alcohol- sale during the event, and it’s not allowed to bring alcohol or other drugs in to the camp, your car or your hotel room.

Shamans, artists and other exciting persons

Do you like to sing, dance, lead a ceremony, lead a workshop or do anything else? That is possible! Thursday evening it will be "open microphone"  Then you can do what you like, as long as it fit in to the Isogaisa concept. It is also possible to use a tent to lead your workshop. That can be the whole week. Please contact the Isogaisa commitee long time before so we can put you in the program.

-You mest end all kind of course and workshops before the evening program is starting.

- Saturday is not possible for guest artists.

-Follow the instructions from the commitee, even if your contact person is much younger than yourself.

This year photographer

Cindy K. Paulsen i hired by the Isogaisa commitee to take nice photos that can be used to marketing the festival. She is very talented, and will always be where thing is happening. Like a good photograper should do!

Remember to smile to her and give her a pat on the back. Its not easy for a 17 year old girl to work between adults and powerfull shamans.

The side lavvu in east is none photo zone. Cindy know it.
